Pastor Allen M. Gulley was born and raised in Pontiac, MI to the late Freeman Gulley and Missionary Mildred Gulley. In 1974, at the age of 16, he was saved and subsequently sanctified under the ministry of the late Bishop C. J. Johnson, former Prelate of Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction. He accepted the call to preach not long afterwards and in 1986, he was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, by Bishop C. L. Anderson, Prelate of Great Lakes Jurisdiction and General Board Member of the Churches of God in Christ, Inc. At God’s leading and in God’s timing, Elder Gulley later returned to Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction and was ordained again in 2005 by the Prelate, Bishop P. A. Brooks, who was the 1st Assistant to the Presiding Bishop of the Churches of God in Christ, Inc. God brought him back home and he began to serve under Pastor Leroy Little at Johnson Memorial Church of God in Christ in Pontiac, MI.
In July 2008 Elder Gulley became a published author with the release and publication of his first booklet, FEASTING WITH THE MASTER—His Banquet Invitation. In October 2018, he released his second booklet, UNITY—Seven Lessons to Unify the Church. He has also completed a full-length book as the second in the FEASTING WITH THE MASTER series which is still awaiting publication.
In February 2010, Bishop P. A. Brooks, assigned Elder Gulley to be the Minister in Charge of Kingdom of God Outreach Ministries in Auburn Hills, MI. Elder Gulley was subsequently appointed as the Pastor on May 3, 2010. In June 2014, Pastor Gulley led the congregation to their current home at 223 Ferry Avenue, Pontiac, MI. The building and surrounding property are physical reminders of God’s provisions.
Pastor Gulley is happily married to Mrs. Patricia L. Gulley and together they parent nine adult children and are the blessed grandparents of thirteen with two more grandchildren expected to be delivered this year. They make Pontiac, MI their home.
